Welcome to Test Build 4 of Notes Release 4.

This README file contains information regarding the installation programs
for the Notes for Windows 95 and Notes for Windows NT workstations and
servers contained on this CD.

The Notes for Windows 95 and Notes for Windows NT workstations and servers
share the same executable code, therefore they are both installed from
the same directory on the CD using the same INSTALL.EXE and other
installation files.  To install either the Notes for Windows 95 or Notes
for Windows NT workstation or server, follow the instructions below.

Windows 95:

From the Windows 95 Explorer, go to the \WIN32\INSTALL directory on the CD
and double-click on the file INSTALL.EXE.  This launches the install
program for both the Notes for Windows 95 workstation and server programs.
Once you have launched the install program, follow the instructions
in the Notes Release 4 Install Guide for either Workstations or Servers
(depending on which you are installing) provided with your Test Build 4 Kit
to complete the installation and configuration of either the Windows 95
workstation or server.

Windows NT:

From the Windows NT File Manager, go to the \WIN32\INSTALL directory on
the CD and double-click on the file INSTALL.EXE. This launches the install
program for both the Notes for Windows NT workstation and server programs.
Once you have launched the install program, follow the instructions in
the Notes Release 4 Install Guide for either Workstations or Servers
(depending on which you are installing) provided with your Test Build 4 Kit
to complete the installation and configuration of either the Windows NT
workstation or server.


Note:  The directory used to contain the installation files for both
Notes for Windows 95 and Notes for Windows NT is called "WIN32" because
both operating systems are part of the Windows operating system family
and both are 32-bit operating systems.  The term "WIN32" is commonly used
to describe both of these operating systems and we have thus used that
terminology in the layout of the Notes Release 4 Test Build 4 CD.
